Transport Operations Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Operations Coordinator to join our team at Challenge-TRG Recruitment Careers. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • De-brief all returning vehicles to the depot, conducting thorough inspections for any damages or safety issues.
  • Communicate with drivers regarding daily runs, addressing any issues that may arise and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Report any defects or maintenance requirements to the relevant teams.
  • Manage Vehicle On-Return (VOR) processes, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.
  • Download vehicles and tachograph machines, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Liaise with our vehicle maintenance providers to ensure prompt and effective repairs.
  • Update all transportation systems, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy.
  • Scan return and outgoing items, maintaining accurate inventory and tracking records.
  • Plan collections and deliveries, optimizing routes and schedules for maximum efficiency.
  • Contribute to the success of the site by ensuring all POD and Return processes are carried out in accordance with site policy documents.
  • Book in collections for customers, completing relevant paperwork and ensuring timely completion.
  • Book in deliveries for customers, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely completion.
  • Investigate any collection queries, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all paperwork is returned for all customer deliveries dispatched from site, chasing outstanding PODs as necessary.
