Detailed Job Description
This role is responsible for coordinating the rota for a team of staff, ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively without constant supervision.
Main Responsibilities
The Rota Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the rota for a team of staff, ensuring that the right people are in the right place at the right time.
- Managing staff leave and absence, ensuring that the rota is maintained and that the team is adequately covered.
- Communicating with staff and managers to ensure that the rota is understood and implemented.
- Identifying and addressing any issues with the rota, such as staffing shortages or conflicts.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have:
- GCSE level or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
Desirable Criteria
- Education to A level standard or equivalent.
Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Knowledge of HR systems and procedures, such as terms and conditions.
- Ability to use initiative and work effectively without constant supervision.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Desirable Criteria
- Familiarity with HR-related functioning of ESR.
- Experience of payroll and HR electronic systems.
- NHS experience.
Skills and Abilities
The successful candidate will have:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
