About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Encourage: Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally.
  • Develop Relationships: Build strong relationships with young people, staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to their care.
  • Manage Challenging Behaviour: Safely and sympathetically manage taxing behaviour, ensuring the well-being and safety of all individuals.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the team to maintain a homely and friendly culture within the residential setting.
  • Ensure Safety and Well-being: Protect young people from risks to their health and welfare, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of individual care plans.
Requirements
  • Experience and Qualifications: Previous experience as a Children's Support Worker or in a related social care role is desirable. A NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is also desirable.
  • Driving and Age Requirements: You must be a car driver and over the age of 22 to be eligible for this role.
