Job Title: Children's Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Children's Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours in a residential setting.

Job Summary:

As a Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people to develop socially, emotionally, and behaviourally. You will work closely with the team to create a homely and friendly culture, promoting independence and well-being among the young people in your care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support young people in a fast-paced environment, encouraging participation in activities and promoting responsibility for their own lives.
  • Provide a therapeutic care environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of the young people.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, Social Workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Protect children and young people from risks to their health and welfare.
  • Maintain a safe environment, dealing with challenging behaviours when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or working with young people in a social care setting (desirable).
  • Valid driving license and ability to transport young people (essential).
  • Age 22 or above (essential).
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People (desirable).
