About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours in a residential setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to young people, promoting their independence and well-being in a therapeutic care environment.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, parents, social workers, and other professionals involved in the young people's lives.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of young people, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of their care plans, guidelines, and preferred methods of communication.
  • Support young people in participating in activities and taking responsibility for their own lives, depending on their age and needs.
  • Deal with challenging behaviours safely and sympathetically, maintaining a safe environment for young people.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Children's Support Worker or in a related social care role is desirable.
  • You must be a car driver, as you will be required to transport young people from time to time.
  • You must be over the age of 22.
  • NVQ or QCF level 3 in Children & Young People is desirable.
