The Payroll Officer is a crucial role in the Accounting & Finance department, responsible for managing payroll processes within the retail industry. Key Responsibilities
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee payroll queries
- Coordinate with the HR department for changes affecting payroll
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions
- Prepare reports for senior management as needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Assist in payroll audits
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed
Requirements
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
- A strong background in a Payroll position
- Proficiency in payroll software
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to handle queries effectively
