**Please note this is a 10 month fixed term contract**

As the People Advisor, you will be the key contact for our managers. You will ensure we maintain consistency in HR advice across the business, dealing with daily employee relations queries and cases, coaching our people managers and escalating issues to the People Business Partner/s where necessary. You will also support and administer some key HR processes.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
You’ll lead on day to day employee relation issues, including: sickness absence, performance, investigations, disciplinary, restructures & change, shift patterns etc., ensuring employment law and company policy are adhered to.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Employee relation support/management for key areas across the business,
- Coach & guide managers on people best practice on a daily basis
- Represent the people function in meetings as required
- Supporting general HR administration if required
- Assist with and deliver HR communications to the business
- Build & maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
- Identify areas for continuous improvement
- You'll also support key HR activities such as recruitment, induction, training & development, exit interviews, culture & engagement communications etc.
- Responsible for the wellbeing program for the business
- Provide reports and MI as required for the People Partners
- Provide cover for the People Administrator and Talent Acquisition Advisor
- Support Recruitment across the business where appropriate (preparation of JD’s, interview questions, presence at interview)
- Propose updates to Policy, process and ways of working based on new/updated legislation & best practice
- Support accurate monthly payroll delivery
- Ownership of key HR activities linked to our annual cycle and wellbeing/inclusion strategies
- Project work - leading or supporting PBP’s in delivery of strategic projects

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Experience in a similar HR role for a fast pace, multi-site business. (You will be required to travel to Ross on Wye bi
- monthly.)
- Experience of working as an employee relations specialist
- Generalist HR experience
- Used to working autonomously
- Working knowledge of Employment Law
- CIPD qualified
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience in using a HRIS system
