Commercial Insurance Broker - SME Specialist

Location: Dudley (Hybrid Working Available)

Salary: Up to £50,000

Our client, a well-established independent insurance brokerage, is in search of a skilled Commercial Insurance Broker to enhance their team. This firm is dedicated to delivering customized insurance solutions specifically designed for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), and has earned a solid reputation for its commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

The Role:

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and driven Commercial Insurance Broker tasked with propelling the business forward. Responsibilities include managing and expanding a portfolio of SME clients, offering expert advice, and ensuring outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with both new and existing SME clients
  • Conduct comprehensive risk evaluations and provide tailored insurance options
  • Negotiate with insurers to obtain optimal terms and premiums for clients
  • Prepare and present insurance proposals effectively
  • Manage policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims assistance
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, and regulatory updates
  • Contribute to the brokerage's growth strategies and business development efforts

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Commercial Insurance Broker, ideally with a focus on SMEs
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and the UK insurance landscape
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships
  • Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • CII qualifications (Cert CII or Dip CII) are preferred
