About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Development Underwriter to join our client's growing team in the West Midlands area. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for expanding our client's presence in the region and developing strong relationships with brokers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake broker visits and underwriting surgeries to increase brand awareness and establish contacts.
  • Regular communication with business development managers and regional directors to develop and maintain broker relationships and strategic planning.
  • Home-based with occasional visits to the London office when necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of underwriting experience in the commercial combined space.
  • Strong knowledge of the commercial insurance market and its trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
