About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our network commercial development efforts. As the Head of Network Commercial Development, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new forecourt locations for ultra-rapid EV charging stations, developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy, and building and nurturing long-term relationships with forecourt operators and industry players.
Key Responsibilities:
- Forecourt Site Acquisition: Lead efforts to identify, acquire, and secure new forecourt locations for ultra-rapid EV charging stations, focusing on high-traffic areas with maximum commercial potential.
- Business Growth Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy to expand our forecourt network, identifying key geographic areas for expansion and creating actionable plans to drive long-term growth and market leadership.
- Partnership Development: Build and nurture long-term relationships with forecourt operators, major fuel retailers, and other industry players to unlock new site opportunities.
- End-to-End Project Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of site development, from initial prospecting and negotiation through to planning, deployment, and ongoing site management, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Commercial Negotiations: Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations, securing optimal financial and operational terms that drive both company growth and partner satisfaction.
- Maximising Site Performance: Oversee the performance of deployed sites, analysing data to optimise usage and identify opportunities for further expansion or improvement.
Requirements:
- Site Acquisition & Business Development Expertise: Significant experience in site acquisition, business development, or partnership management, ideally within the EV charging, energy, real estate, or mobility sectors.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage the end-to-end process of site acquisition and development, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics and drivers that influence site performance and ROI.
- Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the forecourt, retail, or EV charging industries, with the ability to leverage this knowledge to drive strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
