About The Role
Location: Various locations across the UK
Salary:

  • Non-technical: £26,312 per annum
  • Single fuel: £34,440 per annum for full-time roles (plus applicable location adjustments)
  • Single fuel (3 phase/CT): £35,465 per annum for full-time roles (plus applicable location adjustments)
New hires in non-technical and single fuel roles may have the chance to receive training from the organization to achieve dual fuel qualifications. The salaries mentioned are applicable during the initial training phase and will increase to £39,975 upon full qualification.
  • Dual Fuel: £39,975 plus a £2,000 attendance and safety bonus per annum for full-time roles (plus applicable location adjustments)
  • Dual Fuel (3 phase/CT): £41,000 plus a £2,000 attendance and safety bonus per annum for full-time roles (plus applicable location adjustments)
*Location adjustments apply to those whose home postcode falls within specific areas.
Role Responsibilities
The Energy Compliance Officer is tasked with investigating, identifying, and preventing instances of energy theft and unauthorized electricity usage by residential or commercial clients. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety of installations and collaborating with relevant suppliers to determine necessary follow-up actions. You will gather evidence and provide all required documentation to facilitate further actions.
Additionally, the role may involve debt recovery activities, ranging from initial visits to resolve accounts to executing legal entry warrants and performing metering tasks, including the installation of SMART Paygo meters or disconnecting supplies.
Qualifications for Success

  • Ideally possess prior experience in a similar role, though this is not mandatory.
  • Exhibit strong customer service skills, maintaining composure in challenging situations.
  • Have experience in conflict resolution.
  • Be familiar with operating mobile IT devices.
  • Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to enhance customer relations and promote best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the company’s reputation.
  • Hold current CCN1/CMA1 & MET1 qualifications or equivalent (within 6 months of expiry). This is preferred, but training to obtain these qualifications will be provided.
  • Have a valid full UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points.
