Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of students within a supportive secondary school setting.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities. You'll collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure each student has the tools they need to reach their full potential.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Providing one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to individual student needs.
  • Assisting students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum effectively.
  • Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to both teachers and parents.
  • Offering pastoral care and emotional support to students as required.
  • Contributing to administrative tasks such as record-keeping and resource preparation.

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN), including SEMH or SEND.
  • A genuine commitment to providing high-quality education and support to all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a flexible approach to work.
