Job Summary

As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Scrub Practitioners to ensure the smooth running of theatre lists, maintaining the highest standards of governance, clinical effectiveness, and patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive post-registration experience in an elective orthopaedic centre, with a proven track record of leading and delegating in a theatre environment. You will be responsible for organizing and delivering theatre care in the peri-operative setting, acting as a scrub team leader, and overseeing the development and training of your team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Scrub Practitioners to ensure the smooth running of theatre lists
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve theatre efficiency and patient care
  • Collaborate with clinical co-ordinators to ensure effective resource management
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to maintain high standards of governance and patient care
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or registered ODP with extensive experience in theatre scrub and team lead in orthopaedic theatre
  • Teaching and Supervision qualification
  • Ability to lead and delegate effectively in a theatre environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
