Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Theatre Nurse to lead our theatre team in the Elective Orthopaedic Centre at Central Middlesex Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for organizing and delivering theatre care in the peri-operative setting.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as a scrub team leader, overseeing the smooth running of lists
  • Be responsible for an identified group of staff, developing, training, and monitoring their clinical skills
  • Establish and maintain high standards of pre/peri and postoperative care
  • Contribute positively towards the delivery of a cost-effective service, adjusting staffing levels to meet demand

Person Specification

  • Registered Nurse or registered ODP
  • Teaching and Supervision qualification
  • Extensive experience in theatre scrub and team lead in orthopaedic theatre
  • Evidence of continuous Professional Development

Requirements

  • Ability to organize day-to-day theatre activities
  • Ability to lead and delegate appropriately in Theatre
  • Excellent verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills
