Position Overview
In this role, you will effectively lead the risk management initiatives within the Corporate Office sector of the organization, encompassing areas such as Communications, Public Affairs, ESG, the CEO Office, and Industry Engagement.
Risk Management Responsibilities:
You will engage proactively with various teams to promote and advance the risk management agenda. Your expertise in risk will enable you to provide robust support and constructive challenge to the Corporate Office teams in their efforts to identify, manage, and mitigate risks.
First Line Engagement:
As a Risk Partner, you will assist the Executive Risk Partner for the Corporate Office in fulfilling their risk management duties, which include recognizing risks that may hinder the achievement of objectives, evaluating these risks against SWIFT's risk appetite, and defining necessary risk mitigation strategies. You will also be involved in quarterly risk monitoring.
Training and Development:
Your role will involve daily training for Corporate Office teams on the Risk Management Framework, offering coaching on risk identification, management, and mitigation as needed.
Risk Theme Identification:
You will leverage your risk expertise to pinpoint emerging risk themes and share relevant data and insights with Corporate Office teams, risk partners, and the Center of Excellence (CoE) for reporting purposes. Additionally, you will escalate significant risks to the Executive Risk Partner.
Data Management and Monitoring:
You will be accountable for scrutinizing risk data generated by Corporate Office teams, supplying this data to the Risk Centre of Expertise, and monitoring key anticipated and evolving risks. You will also serve as a point of escalation for critical material risks requiring senior input.
Reporting Duties:
Your responsibilities will include supporting quarterly risk reporting and monitoring, ensuring accurate information is provided to the CoE.
Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs):
You will oversee, challenge, advise, and support the execution of RCSAs within the Corporate Office teams, maintaining a strong grasp of the topics managed and the associated risks.
Collaboration and Coordination:
You will work closely with the Executive Risk Partner for the Corporate Office, providing insights and escalating material risks that could significantly impact the business. Collaboration with other risk partners across the function will be essential to share best practices.
Technology and Policy Oversight:
Possessing a solid understanding of financial services products and the technology that supports them, you will contribute to risk discussions related to various products. You will also maintain awareness of policy compliance and oversight processes.
ERM Frameworks:
You will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of risk identification, appetite, impact, and likelihood, applying this knowledge to define and implement risk assessment and monitoring processes.
Report Writing:
Your ability to articulate findings and insights will be crucial in delivering clear and impactful reports.
