Job Overview

Sunamp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for driving process improvements, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of excellence throughout our production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventative actions to ensure quality and productivity.
  • Work closely with our customer service and field service team to develop and streamline our non-conformance reporting processes.
  • Support Sunamp's circular economy initiatives for heat battery recycling and material salvage.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor and track process performance, quality trends, and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to employees on quality standards, problem-solving methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role or a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement or quality engineering roles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, both theoretical and practical.
  • Hands-on practical experience with the ability to trial and prototype.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis tools and techniques such as 8D.
  • Understanding of manufacturing paradigms such as Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Training to Green belt in Six Sigma or Lean Sigma level is desirable.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and implementing process change.
  • Working experience within a disruptive technology start-up company is beneficial.
