Commissioning Editor - Faith Focused Publishing

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Editor to join our dynamic team at Penguin Random House Group. As a key member of our publishing team, you will be responsible for acquiring and developing a list of faith-focused books that showcase the best of spiritual and religious thought leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of editors, designers, and marketers to create bestselling books that inform, empower, and spark new directions. You will be responsible for owning and developing this area of the list, acquiring around 15 titles a year with a strong focus on religion and spirituality.

As a Commissioning Editor, you will be expected to:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with authors, agents, and other industry professionals to identify and acquire new titles
  • Work closely with the publishing team to develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for acquired titles
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure high-quality book production
  • Contribute to the development of the publishing list and strategy, working closely with the Publishing Director and other team members
