Connect2Luton is seeking a skilled Housing Solutions Officer to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis for Luton Borough Council.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, professional service to users on housing and homelessness-related matters. This will involve preventing homelessness, ensuring care and support needs are met, and investigating clients' circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine duties owed towards potentially homeless applicants under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
- Work proactively as part of a front-line team to provide support to households at risk of homelessness
- Manage a caseload and undertake investigations to make sound, timely decisions
- Identify clients with support needs and treat them respectfully, thoughtfully, and sensitively
- Support the development and delivery of training and awareness-raising events
Working Arrangements:
This is a hybrid role, with 2-3 days spent in the office and other days working from home, depending on the team rota and duty desk.
Remuneration:
The umbrella rate for temporary staff is £28-£30 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.
