We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Coordinator to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a Unit Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager in coordinating the work of the unit.
Key Responsibilities:- Phone and Office Support: You will be responsible for taking phone calls and receiving office visits from children and families known to the unit, handling sensitive situations with care and discretion.
- Diary Coordination: You will ensure that diaries and appointments for members of the unit are well-coordinated and easily accessible.
- Meeting Organization: You will organize meetings and arrange venues for members of the unit, maintaining follow-up and bringing forward systems to alert members to forthcoming meetings and appointments.
- Reporting and Research: You will collect and aggregate management information about the work of the unit, producing regular reports as directed by the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager.
- Special Projects: You will undertake research or special projects on behalf of the unit as directed by the Consultant Social Worker/Practice Development Manager.
- Experience and Skills: You should have experience of managing competing priorities and demands, working methodically and thinking systematically to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and Understanding: You should have knowledge of statutory requirements of Children's Social Care and an understanding of the priorities, context, and sensitivity of the service provided to vulnerable children and their families.
- Confidentiality: You should have knowledge of the Data Protection Act and the need to respect the confidentiality of vulnerable children and their families.
- You should be available to work immediately or at short notice.
- You should have the right to work in the U.K.
