Healthcare Assistant

Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the organisation and management of the Gastro Investigations Unit, working closely with the Senior Staff Nurses to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care to children and their families referred to the Gastroenterology Investigation Unit.
- Promote family-centred care and establish strong relationships with children and their families, providing a welcoming and supportive environment.
- Assist with the planning, assessment, implementation, and evaluation of care for children attending the Gastroenterology Investigation Unit, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Participate in relevant audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of care services.
- NVQ CARE LEVEL 3
- Care Certificate
- Demonstrative experience as HCA in theatre/Endoscopy settings
- Evidence of working with children
- Evidence of willingness to undertake further training
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
