Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a popular primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a Reception class.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and a minimum of 2 terms of classroom experience as a TA or teacher in a mainstream primary school or Early Years' setting. You will be working with children in Reception age, so having an understanding of the EYFS curriculum is essential. The role involves supporting a child 1:1 and working alongside professionals to deliver interventions in the classroom.

Requirements
  • Advanced DBS
  • Understanding of safeguarding and compliance with KCSIE 2023
  • Minimum 2 terms of classroom experience as a TA or teacher in a mainstream primary school or Early Years' setting
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting children with ASD and ADHD
  • Ability to create support materials and resources to address gaps in the child's learning
  • Solid references demonstrating self-direction, good team work, communication, punctuality/attendance
