Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a wonderful primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and experience working with children in reception age. You will be responsible for supporting a child 1:1 in Reception class and will have the opportunity to work with an amazing team and cohort of bubbly young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support children with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Work with the class teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist with lesson planning and preparation
  • Provide one-to-one support to children in Reception class
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including speech therapists and occupational therapists, to deliver interventions in the classroom
Requirements
  • Advanced DBS and understanding of safeguarding
  • Minimum 2 terms of classroom experience as a TA or teacher in a mainstream primary school or Early Years' setting
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting children with ASD and ADHD
  • Ability to create support materials and resources to address gaps in the child's learning
