Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a popular primary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a Reception class.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification and a minimum of 2 terms of classroom experience as a TA or teacher in a mainstream primary school or Early Years' setting. You will be working alongside professionals, including speech therapists and occupational therapists, to deliver interventions in the classroom. Your ability to create support materials and resources to address gaps in the child's learning will be essential.

Requirements
  • Advanced DBS
  • Understanding of safeguarding and compliance with KCSIE 2023
  • Minimum 2 terms of classroom experience as a TA or teacher in a mainstream primary school or Early Years' setting
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting children with ASD and ADHD
  • Solid references demonstrating self-direction, good teamwork, communication, and punctuality/attendance
