Position Overview: We are pleased to present an opportunity for an Events Coordination Specialist to join a leading professional organization dedicated to the field of optometry.

About the Organization: This esteemed body is committed to empowering optometrists in delivering exceptional eye health services, ultimately benefiting patients and communities.

Role Details: This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £34,284, along with a hybrid working model that requires attendance at the West End London office for two days each week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, execution, assessment, and enhancement of a variety of both in-person and virtual events.
  • Support the Events Team in coordinating and delivering significant organizational events.
  • Organize smaller events with assistance from colleagues, including regional gatherings, webinars, online peer reviews, and other occasional activities.
  • Maintain precise records of events, analyze outcomes, and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to coordinate, gather, and promote events.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in managing and facilitating a diverse array of in-person and online events.
  • Exhibit proficiency in data management and the creation of analytical reports.
  • Utilize IT systems effectively, including Microsoft Office.

Additional Information: The role may require some national travel throughout the year, including occasional evenings and weekends. The successful candidate should be prepared to work extended hours leading up to and during specific events.

Expectations: Attendance at approximately one to two evening events per month, as well as weekend activities, is anticipated. The organization offers a Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) policy, providing time off for events occurring during evenings and weekends.
