NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dedicated team of professionals in the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS).

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert clinical care to children and adolescents with diverse mental health needs, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor patient progress effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and therapists, to ensure holistic care for patients and their families.
  • Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other healthcare and social service agencies to facilitate seamless patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative treatment programs and initiatives within CAMHS.
Person Specification: GMC Registration:
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice is essential.
Section 12 Certification:
  • Section 12 certification, or a commitment to working towards this, is required.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Mastery in the management of a broad spectrum of mental disorders in children, including neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a part-time basis), with at least 2 years dedicated to a specialty training program in a relevant field or as a fixed-term specialty trainee. Alternatively, possess equivalent experience and competencies.
