Cluster Assistant Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Cluster Assistant Financial Controller to join our team at The Guardsman Hotel. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the on-site Cluster Financial Controller in achieving the hotel's financial objectives.

The Role

As a Cluster Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with the production of budgets and financial statements, ensuring an efficient and accurate financial and administrative hotel finance operation. Your core skills and experience will include:

  • A structured approach to business planning and management;
  • Experience in challenging costs;
  • Experience in a similar role with experience in supporting with the production of financial statements and budgets;
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR information systems;
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems with critical thinking skills, as well as drive appropriate solutions with initiative;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of spoken and written English;
  • Strong organisational skills developed in a fast-paced environment;
  • Sound understanding of the legal framework in relation to finance operations;
  • Previous experience in a hotel or related environment preferred but not essential;
  • Results-focused with an overwhelming desire to succeed.
