About the Role
The Melton short breaks and supported living service is looking for a dedicated and well-organized Administrative Support Specialist.
In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate a proactive approach and exceptional organizational skills, allowing you to manage your tasks with minimal oversight. A friendly demeanor and a compassionate attitude are essential, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders while maintaining professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
As an Administrative Support Specialist, your duties will include:
- Performing general office tasks such as customer service, handling inquiries via phone and email, and managing filing and data collection.
- Creating typed documents, including reports and correspondence, from handwritten or audio notes, ensuring proper formatting and presentation.
- Welcoming visitors and managing telephone calls and emails to provide excellent customer service.
- Overseeing office supplies inventory by reordering items as needed and ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints.
- Assisting management in maintaining effective information and data management systems, both paper and electronic.
- Effectively managing your own workload in alignment with agreed objectives, with support from your line manager.
About You
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- Proficiency in general office duties, including post, fax, and file management.
- The ability to produce high-quality typed documents from various sources.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
- A commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient office environment.
