About the Role

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking individual to provide incident resolution, request fulfilment, and local IT support services to our colleagues. You will work as part of a small, friendly technical team providing first-line support to our staff and assisting the technical specialists with upgrades and other projects where required.

This is not a typical high-pressure Service Desk role, so there will be plenty of opportunity to develop technical skills and get involved in a range of work including telephone and desk-side support, user ID administration, equipment configuration and installation, Service Desk development, technical project support, and operational support.

About You

You will need to have experience working in an IT Service Desk environment and have some familiarity with formal IT Service Management Framework processes. NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or achieved proficiency in SFIA skills at level 2 are also required for this role.

Strong problem-solving skills are a must, and as this is a customer-facing role, you must be personable with strong communication and customer service skills.
