Qualifications and Skills

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess or be willing to obtain a SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification at SCQF level 5 or higher. A solid understanding of technology as it pertains to care services is essential, along with a commitment to ongoing training to enhance skills in equipment installation and programming.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial, as is a professional demeanor and a responsible approach to handling sensitive information. The ability to build positive relationships with service users and work collaboratively within a team is vital.

Additional Requirements

A valid Driving Licence is necessary, along with the ability to successfully complete the Council's driving assessment and vehicle awareness training. Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required, or candidates must achieve registration within six months of employment.

This role operates on a 4 on 4 off rota system, requiring flexibility to work early and late shifts, including periods of lone working.

If selected for this position, you will be required to become a PVG Scheme Member.
