The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall delivery of the programme, working closely with the Head of School to ensure effective educational outcomes.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Core Surgery training programme
  • Work with the Head of School to ensure effective educational outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NHS England and the Wessex Local Office
  • Manage the programme budget and resources
  • Ensure compliance with NHS England and NHS policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Experience of leading a training programme in a healthcare setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-professional team
  • Knowledge of NHS England and NHS policies and procedures
  • Ability to manage a budget and resources
Person Specification:
  • Fellowship of a relevant professional body
  • Attendance at courses aimed at supporting educational development
  • Qualification in medical education or a related field
