**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our event marketing efforts and drive business growth. As the Head of Event Marketing and Strategy, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Marketing Strategy: Create and implement a marketing strategy that drives delegate revenue, number, and quality performance for the business.
- Lead Event Marketing Team: Manage and develop a high-performing event marketing team, including a dedicated delegate sales operation.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with multiple stakeholders, including production, sales, central marketing, and operations departments, to design high-performing event marketing campaigns.
- Drive Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analysis to inform strategy and marketing campaign design, and develop actionable data strategies to grow target customer databases.
- Manage Marketing Budget: Set and administer the annual marketing budget across all events and ensure costs are managed forensically.
- Develop and Refine Marketing Plans: Continually review changes to the market, consumer trends, and the activities of competitors, adjusting the marketing plan if necessary.
- Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with central marketing, IT, and other departments to capitalize on event technology performance and drive continual improvements.
- Manage Customer Success: Ensure seamless customer journey and track performance, and manage integration with Central Marketing Function.
- Develop and Implement Pricing Strategies: Create pricing strategies at event level to drive customer and commercial growth based on deep understanding of the market, event objectives, customer, and competitors.
- Monitor and Report Performance: Manage and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns using pre-determined KPIs.
Requirements
- Minimum of Years' Experience: Minimum of years' experience in marketing, including heading up and developing high-performing marketing teams.
- Experience in Event Marketing: Experience running and developing event marketing teams, preferably in the commodities sector.
- Marketing Qualifications: Degree-level education in marketing or business studies, and CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and/or similar marketing qualifications.
- Technical Skills: Experience managing marketing, CRM, and event technology platforms, including Marketo, Salesforce, Cvent, Netsuite, and Swapcard.
