We are currently seeking a knowledgeable Cyber Security Instructor to become a vital member of our Bootcamp team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality instruction, mentorship, and support to students eager to excel in the cyber security domain.

Your duties will encompass leading engaging sessions, developing captivating educational materials, and guiding students through hands-on projects to equip them with the essential skills and knowledge required to thrive in the cyber security industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructional Delivery: Conduct tailored tutoring sessions, both individually and in groups, to teach students fundamental and advanced concepts in cyber security, including network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, penetration testing, incident response, and compliance standards.
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate with curriculum specialists and industry experts to design, review, and enhance cyber security course materials, lesson plans, exercises, and assessments in accordance with industry standards and emerging technologies.
  • Hands-on Labs: Facilitate practical lab sessions to provide students with real-world experience in utilizing security tools, conducting security assessments, and implementing security protocols, guiding them through problem-solving to achieve their learning objectives.
  • Case Studies and Scenarios: Present real-world case studies, scenarios, and simulations to demonstrate key cyber security principles, challenges, and best practices, encouraging students to apply theoretical knowledge to resolve complex security issues.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical guidance and assistance to students as they work on assignments, projects, and lab exercises, helping them troubleshoot technical challenges and effectively navigate cybersecurity platforms.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress through various evaluations and demonstrations, providing constructive feedback and mentorship to help students enhance their skills, knowledge, and confidence in cyber security.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, threats, and certifications in the cyber security field, actively pursuing ongoing learning opportunities to enrich your expertise as a cyber security educator.
  • Community Engagement: Foster a collaborative learning environment by promoting student engagement, facilitating peer-to-peer learning, and organizing networking events to connect students with industry professionals for career advancement opportunities.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Cyber Security Fundamentals: Comprehensive understanding of core principles in cyber security, including network security, cryptography, access control, risk management, and compliance frameworks, ensuring the curriculum aligns with industry best practices.
  • Teaching and Instruction: Strong communication skills to clearly explain complex technical concepts, lead engaging lectures and discussions, and conduct hands-on lab exercises to effectively support student learning.
  • Security Technologies: Familiarity with essential security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, antivirus software, encryption methods, and security information systems to enhance students' knowledge in cyber defense.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and resolve cybersecurity challenges, promoting critical thinking and effective solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing: Knowledge of ethical hacking techniques, penetration testing methodologies, and vulnerability identification tools to equip students with practical skills in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities.
  • Incident Response and Forensics: Understanding of incident response protocols, forensic analysis techniques, and digital evidence collection methods to efficiently investigate security incidents, breaches, and cyber attacks.
  • Security Governance and Compliance: Awareness of security governance principles, regulatory standards, and industry guidelines governing data protection and compliance requirements across various sectors.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adjust to evolving technologies, modify instructional methods based on student feedback, and update course content to align with the latest trends in cybersecurity education.
