BPA Pensions Data Analyst - Competitive Salary + Bonus + Pension + Benefits

Kinetech is currently collaborating with a prominent Life and Pensions organization to expand their BPA (Bulk Purchase Annuities) operations.

Having successfully onboarded key leadership roles in Business Development, Pricing, Legal, and Transitions, the firm is now seeking a Pensions Data Analyst to facilitate the seamless integration of BPA operations into their existing systems.

Your role will involve analyzing extensive defined benefit data sets and delivering valuable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with essential stakeholders to comprehend their needs, data, processes, and systems, offering informed recommendations throughout the implementation process.
  • Data Evaluation: Assess defined benefit datasets, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and completeness from both pricing and administration perspectives.
  • Data Configuration: Establish data parameters and transform information received from pension scheme administrators.
  • Data Management: Load data, complete control totals for audits, and prepare data for our internal platform.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee data quality, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
  • Incident Management: Investigate, resolve, and rectify incidents and defects within agreed timelines, coordinating with colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Data Adjustments: Execute data corrections not covered by standard procedures and input screens.
  • Process Improvement: Specify and test enhancements to processes and systems supporting our BPA operations.
  • User Assistance: Provide support for the deployment and use of desktop tools in the BPA Customer Service function, advising end-users as necessary.
  • Minor Change Management: Address minor change requests and data corrections, workflow modifications, and application updates for the BPA operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and propose areas for potential development and efficiency enhancements.
  • Team Development: Foster knowledge sharing within the team and assist in the professional growth of colleagues.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk evaluations on incidents and escalate issues promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to FCA and PRA conduct standards, notifying the Head of BPA Transitions of any regulatory concerns as necessary.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous experience as a Data Analyst / Actuarial Analyst / Pensions Specialist with expertise in defined benefits pension schemes, including data and benefit specifications.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
