About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to join our team at The Emerald Group. As a key member of our actuarial function, you will play a critical role in leading projects related to longevity, assumption setting, and capital models.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead projects related to longevity risk, assumption setting, and capital models, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to drive results.
  • Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including reinsurers and pension schemes, to design and administer capital efficient solutions.
  • Thought Leadership: Take charge of various areas of thought leadership, including longevity, annuities, and reinsurance pricing activities.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct longevity research and oversee the operation of reinsurance treaties, including collateral arrangements.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor junior members of the team, overseeing the technical aspects of models and experience analysis.
  • Risk Management: Contribute to the risk management function from a BPA perspective, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Actuary with experience working within the Actuarial Function of a UK Life assurer.
  • Experience: Experience of managing stakeholders at all levels and working with reinsurers and pension schemes.
