Derivatives Analyst

£55K + 15% Bonus + 10% Pension


Well established and successful life and pensions business has a rare opportunity for a Derivatives Analyst to join their close knit, stable and supportive team. Impressive benefits package and real opportunity to progress.


The role

- Develop and refine processes to ensure seamless derivative operations within policy standards.

- Maintain and uphold the Derivative Risk Policy.

- Provide subject matter expertise for derivative risks and retained operations.

- Effectively manage daily derivative operations to meet market and regulatory deadlines.

- Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party providers to manage all asset services activities.

- Monitor and reconcile collateral positions to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily margin calls.

- Support the wider investment team and CIO as required.

- Perform ad hoc tasks as necessary.


About you

- Extensive background in derivatives and/or investment, ideally within a life insurance company, asset manager, or consultancy.

- Proven ability to manage relationships with third parties and investment managers.

- Excellent communication skills at all levels

- Comprehensive understanding of the UK regulatory environment and experience working with regulators.
