Job Title: Learning Support Assistant SEND

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Loughton. The school caters for children and young people with a range of needs, including learners with autistic spectrum condition and those with complex physical and sensory impairments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise pupils with SEND, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
  • Aid the execution of education plans suitable to each pupil's learning objectives.
  • Build a trusting relationship with all pupils and communicate according to their understanding.
  • Promote class interaction and ensure pupils engage throughout the lessons.
  • Create an interesting environment for students.
  • Assist pupils with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
  • Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Passion for making a difference in the lives of pupils with SEND.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
