Job Title: Learning Support Assistant SEND

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a specialist school in Loughton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and support students with SEND, ensuring their safety and ability to access learning activities and understand the information presented.
  • Aid the execution of education plans tailored to each student's learning objectives.
  • Build trusting relationships with students and communicate effectively according to their understanding.
  • Promote class interaction and encourage students to engage throughout lessons.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating environment for students.
  • Assist students with practical activities using a variety of teaching aids.
  • Ensure the physical, social, and emotional welfare of students.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications and training for this role.
  • Experience working with children or vulnerable adults, preferably in a SEND setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work 5 days a week, 8:30am-3:30pm.
