Job Title: Head of Business Planning

Counter Terrorism Policing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our business planning efforts. As Head of Business Planning, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective business planning processes that align with our corporate strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the CTP Business Planning cycle, ensuring that business plans are developed and implemented in line with strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the network to ensure that business planning is aligned with financial and workforce planning.
  • Develop and deliver an in-year planning mechanism to ensure effective use of underspends or opportunities.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to CT Heads and Capability leads in identifying problems and opportunities for business planning.
  • Develop and deliver business plans in line with strategic priorities, ensuring a clear line of sight between strategy and delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the network to ensure effective business planning and delivery.
  • Lead and support governance boards in support of the business planning cycle, ensuring that business plans are implemented effectively.
  • Provide regular reporting on progress against business plans, aligned to strategic priorities and performance.
Requirements:
  • Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
  • Strong business planning and strategy skills, with experience of developing and implementing business plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address business planning challenges.
