About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Center Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, including server and network hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 7x24 roster duty in data center operations, ensuring the highest level of operational standards.
  • Act as an incident first responder and provide onsite hands-on support to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform break-fix and troubleshooting according to established process guidelines.
  • Maintain proper media operations according to process guidelines.
  • Assist with capacity landing and decommissioning according to process guidelines.
  • Ensure site management and maintain tidiness in operation areas.
  • Contribute to the improvement of operation efficiency through innovative ideas and experiences.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • Knowledge of IT system hardware and network concepts.
  • Degree / High Diploma or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Understanding of incident response and prioritization.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication in English.
  • Experience in network cabling, including optical.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of data center experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of continuous process improvement.
  • Literacy in security and customer data protection.
