We are seeking an experienced Account Manager with a background in transport planning to join our team at Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of customer accounts, providing logistics solutions, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and requirements, and providing sustainable logistics solutions to assist in their supply chain.
  • Logistics Solutions: Optimize logistics services provided in terms of efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring that customers' requirements are met and operational teams have the necessary information to plan.
  • Communication: Maintain high levels of communication across internal teams to ensure customers' requirements are met and operational teams have the necessary information to plan.
  • Documentation: Obtain and coordinate documentation necessary for import, export, and transit movements in line with Brexit clearance processes.
  • Financial Management: Monitor gross/operational margins on customer accounts to suggest and implement improvement suggestions.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in transport planning and customer-facing roles.
  • Skills: Strong numeracy and literacy skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £27,000 - £28,000 per annum.
