Biomedical Scientist Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality pathology services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the quality management system and UKAS accreditation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train and develop less experienced members of staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Validate and authorize results, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals, responding to their needs and concerns.
- Resolve complex equipment or process problems, utilizing your technical expertise and analytical skills.
- Perform manual, semi-automated, and fully automated laboratory investigations, including specialist investigations, within defined service areas.
- Participate in the day-to-day management of stock control and usage, ensuring efficient use and minimizing waste.

Person Specification- HCPC registered
- Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent
- Additional appropriate specialist qualification if required
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
