About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Specialist Support Worker to join our team at our Complex Needs Service in London. As a key member of our team, you will work with young women who are homeless, care leavers, or ex-offenders with high support needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to young women, focusing on safeguarding, building strong relationships, and empowering them to achieve their goals.
  • Conduct welfare checks, attend multi-agency meetings, and ensure the living spaces are safe and free of any issues.
  • Support residents with developing life skills, understanding tenancy agreements, and maintaining their homes.
  • Manage challenging behavior while maintaining a supportive and approachable demeanor.
Requirements
  • Experience working with vulnerable young women, particularly those who have experienced homelessness or have high support needs.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Ability to handle a busy caseload and maintain accurate records.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
What We Offer

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) with a mix of early, late, weekend, and bank holiday shifts. As an all-female service, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for our residents and staff.
