We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Community Perinatal Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to pregnant and postnatal women with severe and complex mental illness.
Main Responsibilities:- Formulate, implement, and review plans for the treatment and management of women with a full range of clinical presenting problems.
- Assess risk, formulate safe and effective risk management plans, and document and communicate these clearly and concisely.
- Apply specialist Occupational Therapy interventions using assessment and evaluation tools drawn from the Model of Human Occupation.
- Participate in formal child protection procedures and interagency work with families.
- Diploma or degree leading to professional Registered qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
- Current registration with relevant professional body.
- CBT qualification or other relevant qualification.
- Experience of working with women in the perinatal period with severe and enduring mental health needs.
Appropriate training, support, and regular supervision will be provided by the MDT and Occupational Therapy Lead. A competitive salary and benefits package, including inner HCAS, will be offered to the successful candidate.
