Job Title: Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perinatal Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Community Perinatal Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to pregnant and postnatal women with severe and complex mental illness.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, implement, and review plans for the treatment and management of women with a full range of clinical presenting problems.
  • Assess risk, formulate safe and effective risk management plans, and document and communicate these clearly and concisely.
  • Apply specialist Occupational Therapy interventions using assessment and evaluation tools drawn from the Model of Human Occupation.
  • Participate in formal child protection procedures and interagency work with families.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree leading to professional Registered qualification in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work.
  • Current registration with relevant professional body.
  • CBT qualification or other relevant qualification.
  • Experience of working with women in the perinatal period with severe and enduring mental health needs.
