Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate for our 'Stronger Futures' initiative, engaging young individuals in year 10 and above to explore various life skill opportunities.
  • Develop training resources to facilitate the delivery of our AQA program.
  • Provide direct one-on-one support to young people.
  • Assist in the execution of our Duke of Edinburgh awards program.
  • Organize activities, outings, and workshops for both looked after and biological children.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, foster parents, external professionals, and multi-agency networks.
  • Participate in meetings with professionals from education, health, and social services to support the care plans of children and young people.
  • Conduct assessments, reviews, and report writing while maintaining accurate records.
  • Stay informed about professional practice standards, legislation, and company policies, including confidentiality, GDPR, safeguarding, and diversity.
  • Assist staff with placement and educational data management.

About You

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people in achieving their full potential.
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people in care.
  • Willingness to travel across various regions as needed.
  • A proactive approach to implementing innovative ideas and initiatives that enhance our services.
  • Professional experience in childcare, preferably within the fostering sector, or a strong interest and knowledge in fostering.
  • Relevant qualifications or formal training in childcare, childhood studies, education, social work, youth work, community work, or psychology.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with individuals of diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Capacity to remain composed in high-pressure and emotionally charged situations.
  • Intermediate proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office applications and databases.
  • A valid driving license.
