We are one of the few independent fostering agencies in the UK that specializes in providing placements that honor cultural and faith-based needs.
Our mission is to assist children and young individuals with specific religious or cultural backgrounds in finding foster parents who resonate with their values and can offer a nurturing environment. With our roots in the West Midlands, we have expanded our reach across the UK, establishing additional offices and enhancing our service delivery. Our founding team continues to lead with vision and dedication.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for our 'Stronger Futures' initiative, engaging young individuals aged 11 and above in various life skills opportunities.
- Develop training resources to facilitate the delivery of our AQA program.
- Provide direct support to young people.
- Assist in the implementation of our Duke of Edinburgh awards program.
- Organize activities, outings, and workshops for both looked-after and biological children.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, foster parents, external professionals, and multi-agency networks.
- Participate in meetings with professionals from education, health, and social services to support care plans for children and young people.
- Conduct assessments, reviews, and report writing while maintaining accurate records.
- Stay informed about professional standards, legislation, and company policies, including confidentiality, GDPR, safeguarding, and diversity.
- Support ACS staff with placement and educational data entry.
Candidate Profile
- A strong passion for supporting children and young people in achieving their full potential.
- An understanding of the challenges faced by children and young individuals in care.
- Willingness to travel across the West Midlands region.
- A proactive approach to implementing innovative ideas and initiatives that enhance our services.
- Relevant professional experience in childcare, ideally within the fostering sector, or demonstrable knowledge and interest in fostering.
- Possession of a relevant qualification or formal training in childcare, childhood studies, education, social work, youth work, community work, or psychology is preferred.
- Proven ability to establish strong relationships with both adults and children from diverse backgrounds.
- Capability to remain composed in high-pressure and emotionally challenging situations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- A valid driving license is required.
