About Heathrow Personnel:

Heathrow Personnel is a well-established company providing staffing solutions to various industries, including logistics and transportation. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vault Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, arranging collections and deliveries, and ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse. This is a permanent position based in the Colnbrook area, working for a reputable freight forwarder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of goods, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Arrange collections and deliveries, communicating with clients and transport providers as necessary.
  • Conduct stock control, monitoring inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Process goods in and out of the warehouse, adhering to company procedures and regulations.
  • Meet with clients on-site to accept goods, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and send daily balance sheets to the operations team, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Process imports and exports within the warehouse, complying with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitor goods for any signs of damage, reporting incidents to the relevant authorities.
  • Operate a forklift truck, ensuring safe and efficient use of equipment.
  • Work towards tight deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively.

Requirements:

  • X-RAY/NXCT training (ideally)
  • Experience handling high-value goods, with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation procedures.
  • Full UK driving license, with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency in PC software, with experience using logistics and transportation systems.
  • 5-year checkable history, with a strong track record of reliability and trustworthiness.
  • Experience in freight and cargo handling, with a deep understanding of the industry.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, with varying shifts (05:30-13:30, 09:00-18:00, 13:00-22:00)
