Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Vault Assistant to join our team at a reputable freight forwarder based in the Colnbrook area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the receipt and storage of goods in the warehouse
  • Arrange collections and deliveries with clients and transportation providers
  • Monitor and control stock levels to ensure accurate inventory
  • Process goods entering and leaving the warehouse, including customs clearance and documentation
  • Meet with clients to inspect and accept goods
  • Prepare and send daily reports to the operations team
  • Assist with the processing of imports and exports, including customs procedures
  • Identify and report any damages or issues with shipments
  • Operate a forklift truck to move goods within the warehouse
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and ensure smooth warehouse operations

Requirements:

  • X-Ray/NXCT training (ideally)
  • Experience handling high-value goods and sensitive cargo
  • Full UK driving license
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software
  • 5-year checkable work history
  • Previous experience in freight or cargo handling

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, with varying shifts including early mornings, afternoons, and evenings
