Job Purpose & ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Specialist to provide expert advice and support on various HSE matters. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees while upholding Roke's commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Provide comprehensive guidance and support on all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).
- Contribute to the successful implementation and maintenance of Roke's HSE management systems.
- Conduct thorough internal audits of HSE management systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Deliver engaging and informative Health and Safety inductions to new employees.
- Actively participate in HSE meetings and collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing safety standards.
- Lead or contribute to HSE investigations, ensuring thorough analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Manage HSE training requirements and platforms, ensuring all personnel receive necessary training.
- Collaborate with HR on any adjustments required to ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Assist in EcoOnline reviews and maintain accurate data input within the system.
- Support the planning and execution of external audits, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Maintain proper management and storage of all HSE-related documents.
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A NEBOSH HSE certificate (essential or actively working towards it).
- Proficiency in functional HSE management systems.
- Familiarity with statutory resources for informed decision-making.
- A strong understanding of competency and advice provision within an HSE context.
- Experience in internal investigations and audits is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ISO management standards is advantageous.
Due to the nature of our work, eligibility for SC clearance is required.
