Role Overview:
The Senior Safety Engineering Specialist will be tasked with delivering extensive technical safety engineering solutions, with the potential to expand services as mutually agreed upon through contract modifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership in Engineering:
    Direct and oversee safety engineering initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Resource Management:
    Monitor and control engineering hours to ensure project efficiency and adherence to budget constraints.
  3. Document Review and Compliance:
    Execute comprehensive reviews and evaluations of project documentation to guarantee alignment with safety regulations and standards.
  4. Participation in Meetings:
    Engage in leadership meetings, including HAZOP (Hazard and Operability), HAZID (Hazard Identification), and SIL (Safety Integrity Level) assessments, as well as Plot Plan Review sessions.
  5. Client Engagement:
    Collaborate with clients to ensure their safety needs and expectations are thoroughly addressed.
  6. Project Reporting:
    Prepare and present weekly reports that outline project advancements, including resource allocation and timelines.
  7. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Planning:
    Formulate and uphold an HSE strategy that delineates safety protocols and procedures for the project.
  8. Establishing HSE Principles:
    Develop and document the guiding principles and objectives for HSE within the project framework.
  9. Conducting Safety Assessments:
    Perform and document safety evaluations to identify potential hazards and devise mitigation strategies.
  10. Risk Assessment and SIL Evaluation:
    Carry out hazard identification and SIL evaluations to assess and manage safety risks effectively.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in technical safety engineering, particularly within the oil and gas sector. Strong leadership capabilities are essential for coordinating engineering activities. Proficiency in participating in safety-focused meetings and reviews is required, along with excellent organizational skills to manage project timelines, resource plans, and deliverables efficiently.
