The successful candidate must be able to pass a HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

About the Role

The Technical Safety Engineer will support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives, including continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, schedule, and safety performance.

Candidates must have extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry and deliver safety studies to ensure that projects and change proposals carried out by the delivery team for Assets are compliant with project requirements and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safety studies to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory obligations
  • Support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives
  • Work with other disciplines and sections to meet delivery dates
  • Ensure quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work
  • Design and implement safety procedures and protocols
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject
  • Highly experienced engineer with a sound technical background and expertise
  • Experience in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
